Poems and Poetry: Welcome Home My Child
Welcome Home My Child
I’d been wondering how you
Survived in that hell-hole far
From the comforts of home
I’d been waiting to see you
Back home where you belong
You’re a child in a million no
Matter your flaws and weaknesses
Because you equally have your
Strengths and abilities even
Though they may not be rewarded
Or unrecognized by some parents
Who’ve watched with a cargo bay
Full of disbelief when I fell over
You with the loving ferocity of
A lioness was has recovered a missing cub.
