Poems and Poetry: Time Heals

42

By tonymodus

Time Heals

I’m trying so hard not to

Hide from myself because

I can’t explain myself to

Myself nor to anyone else.

My inside is on fire, consumed

By the injustice of my entire life

My imagination is overheating

But with time the gaping wound

Of injustice healed.

The flame of hatred burning in

My heart extinguished; the prompting

Of rage and aversion hushed and the

Longing for vengeance quelled.

Time does heal--so many wounds and writing helps--take care--and be well

Thank you for this contribution. May one offer that life is born anew in proportion to the travail that preceeds it . . . given that belief and faith is sustained.
